In 2016 I started exploring the concept of recreating images of women in my family (mother, maternal grandmother, paternal aunt, paternal grandmother), as Slavic deities, connecting their ancestral presence in Poland with my localized presence in Canada. I associated each woman with a season as per personality traits I associated with them throughout my childhood and memories. The table features an edited image of my grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

In 2017, for a course of Death and Monuments at Carleton University, we were asked to simply "dig". As I have been avidly digging for family stories and my own connections to them, I chose to symbolically bury three family members from my paternal line that have create a significant impact on my life: my biological paternal grandfather, my paternal great-aunt and their cousin. My father provides an audio of family memories and personal stories, creating a bridge between people I have either never met, or met once.
