Window Gallery FAQ

What is the Window Gallery?

-The Window Gallery is a pop-up experiment of postcards and posters taped to the side of the curators home, available for public enjoyment.

How does it work?

-The curator will choose from her collection of postcards, posters and other collectibles that she has acquired from her numerous visits to galleries, museums and cultural institutions around the world. Each week a new theme will be exhibited along with programming of events and activities (that all can be done in the comfort of home or through social distancing).

Where are the statements?

-Each week the curator will post a blog entry with as much information as possible about the artists, the works, the institutions, and their own curatorial statement tying everything together.

Are the artists and institutions affiliated with this project?

-No, the artists featured are not in anyway affiliated and neither are the institutions. This project is merely for the enjoyment of the neighbourhood during walks or scheduled outings while dealing with the realities of the national/international closures of galleries and museums due to COVID-19 global safety regulations.
